Rosaryville
The 16th annual Rosaryville Veterans Day Trail Races were held on Saturday November 8, 2025. The 50K and 20K races took place on the wooded trails and through the open meadows of Rosaryville State Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Alan Gowen (1949-2025): The VHTRC Loses (another) Great Friend
Anstr Davidson pays tribute to his good friend, Alan Gowen, who passed away on June 27. Alan was the founder at RD of the Hashawha Hills 50 km, a past president of the VHTRC, and the nine-time MMT finisher.

Steph Hill has submitted a report on her race at the 2025 Hellbender 100 Miler. The course is located in the Black Mountain region of western North Carolina, and the race was dramatically impacted by the after effects of Hurricane Helene that devastated the area seven months earlier.

The Case of the Missing Rock
After a full year of being AWOL from its perch overlooking the Shenandoah Valley from the side of the Kerns Mountain section of the Massanutten Trail, a trio of misfits with too much time on their hands launched a Rock Rescue Mission. John Dodds reports on the successful recovery of the landmark rock at Q’s View, just in time for the MMT 100 runners in the 2025 race.
